Bleep/Dreamport Hose disconnects! Defect?

Post by PurchanceToDream » Sun Jan 10, 2021 2:17 am

I just opened my Bleep Dreamport and check it out find that a very like tug disconnects the hose from either the connector or the "mask".

To be clear I'm am talking about the small white host that is part of the bleep/dreamport and the connectors that are also part of it -- nothing to do with my main cpap tubing. The connectors at either end of the small white hose pull off quite easily, with very little force. It does not seem like this will hold up at all to any moving around while asleep and completely defeats the purpose of the adhesive ports that it connects to.

Is this normal? Is there some trick of air pressure such that when it is pressurized they hold with greater force? (I suppose I'll be testing that out soon enough). Or did I get a defective one?

The host does not "click" on to the connectors as with other masks, it just holds on by friction and not very tightly.

Maybe I'll have to jerry rig something with tape. I do not see how the hose will stay connected with any movement during sleep.

I would look at bleepsleep.com and ask Stuart or customer service for help. Did you just start on the bleep?

I had the same problem when I started bleep. You probably have the old style mask tubing , the short hose. The new model has a much longer tube like the p10 and snaps into place and will not pull out easily.
Where did you purchase it? You need to contact them and exchange it for the new tubing.

Can you do me a favor please and measure the hose from end to end and report back?

Where did you get the Bleep from?

What you complain of was found by some people to happen with the original hose...I never experienced it myself but I know some others did. I need to know if you are using the original hose or the more newer hose which shouldn't have this problem.
The length of the hose will tell me which hose you have.

It is held on by friction and there is normally enough friction to get the job done. Even the new hose is held on by friction but there is a lot more friction to get the job done.

My very first interface did that. It popped off a few times while I was sleeping. I got a replacement from the place where I bought it. It was still pretty easy to get off but I didn't have any more problems with it coming off at night.
