Can’t exhale

Post by Marni01 » Tue Dec 29, 2020 6:34 pm

I’ve been using Phillip CPAP 3 years and all of a sudden find it hard to exhale
Nothing has changed on machine
Maybe lungs are worse?

Marni, could you let us know the make and model of your machine and your mask? It might not matter, but then again it might.

Have you seen a doctor? Been tested for anything lately? Has anything at all changed in your life - new meds, climate, etc. etc?

WHAT machine, at what pressure settings?

We want to help, but need something to go on...

like telling your mechanic "my car makes a noise" without any more info... we don't have crystal balls :D

"phillips sleep" isn't a cpap machine, as far as my google search shows. what words are on the machine itself? also, see the bottom of the machine and tell us what it says on the label there.

good luck!

I am of the opinion that when something changes markedly with our respiratory system and we can't easily isolate a known possible culprit to blame the change on that maybe seeing a doctor might be in order.
Especially true of someone who has been on cpap for any length of time and didn't have any issues.
Something changed...but as to what we might not know and I treat my lungs like I do my eyes....God gave me 2 of them and I don't screw around when I get symptoms that can't be easily explained away and this situation is one of those situations IMHO.

Most of us would know if something changed and when I see this below...then my advice is....see a doctor.

May be this is due to enlarged inferior turbinate. This can cause issues with exhalation.
