Thank you palerider. This was the issue. Everything is working great now. My current hose is slimline non-heated and the machine was set to slimline. The hose I purchased said it was standard size. When I went into settings and picked “standard” on the menu, the hose worked with no problems.

I have been on cpap over 11 years now.
I am trying to remember when the last time I actually cleaned the hose after the initial 6 months when I first started therapy and was religious about doing a once a week cleaning of everything. That got old real fast. I abandoned that schedule.
I might have cleaned one 5 or 6 years ago but that was because I was checking for holes in it as I found my cat playing with it.
I had to use soapy water to check for leaks from kitty claw holes.
Your choice though. All depends on just how much it bugs you or not. Obviously it doesn't bug me very much but I cast no stones at people who want to adopt any sort of different cleaning (or not cleaning) schedule than mine.

Great! The 'slimline' setting causes the machine to operate at a higher pressure to compensate for pressure losses due to the greater resistance of the smaller hose. For now!!This is good to read. Others on the forum and in this thread also found that cleaning the hose isn’t necessary. It’s good to see that it won’t make me sick if I don’t clean it. After a little over a month on CPAP, I hate cleaning the hose.
