Hi all! I've been a CPAP user for about 3 years now. It's gone generally well, to the point where I haven't felt compelled to join a message board on the topic...until now.
I use the subject nasal pillow along with the fabric Nuance frame and headgear. A few weeks ago I started to notice a leak noise, and traced it to the point of attachment between the pillow and the frame. As if it's not able to form an adequate seal around that plastic flange. When I pinch it on either side with my fingers, the noise stops. It's a serious impediment to falling asleep.
Last night in an act of desperation, I applied a thin coat of Vaseline along the rim of the pillow base. And it actually worked! Seems like a messy solution long term, however.
This seems to have started with the last 2 frames. The severity varies with different pillows. Has anyone had a similar experience? Could it be some bad QC with a recent run of these frames?
Fitment all seems correct otherwise - loose, but not too loose. Seal between the nostrils and pillow cones seems sound.

How old are the various parts of your mask?
For example, my pillows on that mask generally went to hell within a month.
Also, I found the silicone frame far superior to the fabric one, though it probably has no bearing on leaks.

Pillow is one night old. Headgear and frame about 2 months...due to be swapped out in another month. The 3-week-old pillow it replaced was halfway decent, seeming to seat properly with a little fiddling. The new one just screamed right out of the gate.chunkyfrog wrote: ↑Tue Dec 01, 2020 7:24 pmHow old are the various parts of your mask?

This inquiry has prompted me to wonder if there are better frames out there. Hopefully ones that my insurance would share the cost for.
