A few times over the last few weeks, including last night, my Airsense 10 has just started blowing so hard that the mask is being lifted off my face. It's like it's blowing at 30 instead of the 14 I have it set at. It sounds like a jet engine.
I have no idea what's causing the issue. I shut it off, unplugged it for a few minutes, changed the settings (increased the ramp, turned the ramp off, changed the pressure, went from CPAP to Auto CPAP and back) and nothing worked. I finally let it sit and changed my mask (Dreamwear FF) and headgear and it seemed to stop. I didn't detect any leaks in the mask or headgear so I have no idea what I did to solve or stop the issue.
I bought the machine from someone here on this board so I don't have a dealer I can take it to if it's malfunctioning.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. TIA.
PS - just thought of this, but does ResMed ever update the software or firmware of these machines? If so, how do they do it? Do I have to take it in or can I do it myself?

Re: Another Resmed Airsense 10 issue - Blowing too hard
Your signatures states an AirSense 10 CPAP, but in a previous post you mentioned you had an AutoSet.
Is it a CPAP model?
If it's an AutoSet, we can look at the graphs to see what your settings are and what pressure it made to.
And all though ResMed is capable of over-the-air firmware updates, I'm only aware of one, and that was years ago to address a humidifier problem. ResMed hasn't documented any user initiated firmware upgrades nor methods to upgrade via an authorized reseller.

I agree with Dog Slobber that the data will help to see what's going on.
When a machine "sounds like a jet engine" I suspect a mask leak, but you are an experienced user who should be able to tell the difference. So try to access the data.

Re: Another Resmed Airsense 10 issue - Blowing too hard
Thanks for the replies. Yes, it's an autoset machine that I am running on straight CPAP as suggested by my doctor. I will make the change in my signature. And I will will look a the data on Oscar (I assume that was what you were referring to when you say data). I probably should have thought of that first.
