Yes that it exactly why I hit the ramp button so I would be able to tell at least somewhat when viewing the data in the morning when I woke up during the night. I figure anything that was flagged around the time when the ramping is taking place there is a good chance does not count because I was awake then.

Good job figuring out the SWJ (sleep/wake junk)! That's really important, and it helps a lot -- as you have found -- in figuring out when something's wrong and when things of fine.

A few little housekeeping things. Could you fill out your profile with your machine and mask info? And when you post your next chart, could you turn off the panel on the right and the pie chart, and could you include the flow-rate graph? You can squeeze the graphs by grabbing the horizontal gray bar that separates them.

My new mask came yesterday so last night was my first night with it. The data is still messy. Lots of leaks. I will try to get it adjusted better, but I'm thinking I may need to try some different options for a mask. The airfit F20 worked great for a while, but it appears that may no longer be the case. I will keep trying to get the fit right though.

Please review this thread for the format for image sharing.

You have omitted critical information on the left side....and resize your graphs a bit so they are a bit larger.
Resize so the snore graph is off screen....don't need it since the snores are flagged on the events graph.

Sorry about that. Is this better? Thanks again.

How about a pressure change?
Minimum EPAP 7...up from 5
PS of 4....down from 5...so both minimum and max at 4.
Leave the max alone

I have my doubts as to whether your CAs/centrals are real or not for one thing.
But you are having a lot of snores and more OAs than I would want to see...
And with a higher EPAP and the machine wanting to go so high....it should help with the snores and leaks.
When you fit at the lower pressures and then it goes higher what seals lower can't seal so great when higher.
You need more minimum anyway....so fit at a little bit higher minimum might mean less leak when it goes higher.

Thanks very much, Pugsy. I will give those suggested changes a try.

In regard to those CA's, I found them dubious as well based on nothing more than the way I feel in the morning. My head is perfectly clear of fog and I have more energy than I have had in years. When I first started my therapy back in Jan and the pressure had not been adjusted up yet I would sometimes get large numbers of OA's. During that time any night with an AHI above 5 and I could feel the difference. Foggy head and dead tired in the afternoon. I am feeling none of that at this time. I'm sure my higher energy is in part due to all the weight I lost, but that foggy feeling in my head I would still think would be present if my AHI was really as high as being reported. Thanks again for your help. It is much appreciated.

On first glance this looks pretty junky. However I am certain that I did not fall alseep before 10PM (22:00) and I woke up to go to the bathroom at 2:45 and aside from possibly some very brief times of dozing, I never got back to sleep before I got out of bed at around 5:45. So the data for the time I actually slept is not as bad as the night as a whole. Based upon what appears here, is there any need for other changes at this time or would it be best to just let the changes ride and see how the next few nights go?

Is there any way to crop the data so that it only shows times when I am sure I was sleeping?

You can turn off known awake sleep sessions....scroll down to the bottom of the statistics on the left and click on a separate session that you know you never went back to sleep. Change it from green to red and it will be omitted from the data reported.
This can only be done when there is a sleep session though that is separate from the bulk of the night. For this reason I tell people when they spend much time awake on the machine...reach over and push the button to turn the machine off and then right back on again.
This will create separate sessions which you can turn off.

Now for the part of the night that has obvious awake time and asleep time and you can't manually remove the awake time by turning it off there is a way to see just the asleep time temporarily by highlighting the known asleep time with your mouse. You click and drag from the asleep time to the awake time and look right below the events graphs there in little bitty letters will be an adjusted AHI that reflects only the highlighted time frame.

yes.

at the top graph(event flags) place your cursor at the time you want to start the times you were asleep. man, that's a cumbersome sentence. left click and hold. drag the mouse to the other end of what you want to see.

in tiny letters just below the event flags and just above the flow rate, you'll see the ahi.

here, let's see if i can manage a screenshot.

sorry i'm the suck at zooming the screen. it's the unshaded part.

but maybe you can see that it shows that i had 0.0 ahi for 6 hours and some few minutes.

hope this helps.

I was able to answer my own question from the previous post. Here is the data from the time I first turned my machine on until I woke up to go to the bathroom. The data for the second session after I came back is useless because I was awake for probably over 90% or more of that time. The data before 22:00 is also junk because I didn't get to sleep until then.

Thank you, Zonker. I will be sure to use the method you demonstrated in the future. Even better yet maybe I can actually sleep through the night tonight!

<whew!> i'm just happy that you understood my explanation.

pugsy told me of it a long time ago. and it helped through a LOT of bad times when i was trying to improve my therapy. it was very comforting to actually see that there were times when therapy WAS working. then i could isolate the other times when it wasn't and work on improving.

this is why data is so important.

Last night was MUCH better. I slept soundly for just over 6 hrs. No garbage awake data to sort through on this one. Still some snores to get under control but this is much better. Thanks to everyone for your help and suggestions.
