Mask type recommendations?

Post by dbebz » Wed Aug 26, 2020 10:05 am

Hello everyone. I have some issues which make it at times hard to breathe and makes me almost exclusively a mouth breather. I’ve tried nasal pillows for 2 weeks now and I’m finding myself waking up with bad mouth leaks or being congested in my nose to the point where I can’t breathe. I have an ENT appointment but I was told it could be months, I can’t wait that long

I’m going in today to look at full face masks and was wondering what types you’d recommend. I’m hoping for something that isn’t crazy complicated looking.

And do you think this will help? Thanks!

Go to the forum sponsor's website (cpap.com), find the FFM page and sort by Most Popular. Look at the pics and read some reviews.

If you can't breathe through your nose, you will have to use a FFM.

Ask to be put on their cancellation list. Call everyday and ask if they have had any cancellations.

I have tried several different masks and have settled on the ResMed F20 mask. I have used this mask for over three years. I like it because I have a very narrow bridge on my nose, and it seals well across the bridge of my nose.

Wow thanks a lot! I live in Canada so I’m not sure if there’s a difference in terms of ENT, but I will definitely try the cancellation list. I know my dentist does that. I have a flexible schedule so if there’s any way I can get in earlier I wouldn’t mind it.

HAHAHA CENT. I am training to be an air traffic controller so that random piece of aviation knowledge was appreciated.
