Every doctor looks at me crazy when I mention the Ashton manual.
That is not surprising to me ... doctors are told way more about how to use meds, and far too little about how to stop. I am fortunate that my doctor knew that to be the case when I desired to taper off my drugs.

I am sorry, I have no information on what is happening to you, so I have to leave that to others. I just wanted to let you know that there are options...

Long term use of doctor prescribed Klonopin.
How much are you taking and at what times of day? We have experience in my family with Klonopin
Only .25 X 3 times a day. Evened out throughout the day. trying to prevent highs and lows. In fact I weigh each dose to make sure they are even. It's time at this moment in fact to take my next one and this is the best I felt all day. Sometimes it helps other times I swear it makes me worse. Everybody is different. On it for 9 years. Many in my family have addictive personalities. The same thing with alcohol. When I did occasionally drink many years ago I could throw them back or I would get drunk just off the cap. Wasn't worth figuring it out so I stopped.

Good point.
Unlikely to get an answer.

I am not a trained expert on medications. And I have no idea whether your dosage was chosen before or after PAP or how successful your PAP therapy has been recently or over time. But my understanding is that once a completely successful treatment of sleep-disordered breathing is accomplished, that change can often have a significant effect on dosage needs and medication needs in general and for mood-affecting meds and heart-affecting meds in particular.

I would never, however, decide on my own to taper a dosage of, or significantly lower a dosage of, let alone cease, any medication involving mood or heart rate without direct medical supervision from an experienced pro who is fully aware of my complete medical history.

And it's interesting to know that Granny never found cocaine to be harsh.

Are you arguing that your using a straw made it less harsh?

Nevermind. I wouldn't want to use straw to heat up the forum heroine.

If I played in the American League, the DH would bat for me instead of the pitcher.

And I thought harsh was more often used to describe weed--or so I heard . . .

I love it when I'm away for an amount of time, and I come back to find threads like this. They always brighten my day and make me laugh.

OP, I'm very sorry that you're having difficulty, and I truly hope that you get some answers and relief soon. Unfortunately, my particular area of expertise would be of little value to you, so I will leave it to others for that and only offer moral support instead.
