Need help with chip reader.

I have moved and changed doctors. My new doc "can't read" the chip for my ResMed Elite II, which I started using in 2011. I got my chip back. How can I get a report off my chip?

The Elite II is a S8 model machine....if that is indeed what you have then ....

You will need a Windows computer and ResMed's ResScan (which is Windows only and can be found) and this card reader which isn't so easily found and if found...probably not cheap.

and after all that you will end up with not a whole lot more than what should be available on the machine's LCD screen.

Now if you have a later model than the S8 Elite and the II was a typo...and you have a S9 or later machine and have a SD card and not the smart card. Then you can use OSCAR.

I have no idea what you are calling a "chip"....no one uses chips...they either have used the smart cards or the SD cards.

What about getting the insurance company to pay for a new machine? With promise of buying a new machine, you might find a local DME who can read your machine's card and provide a report to your new doctor.

No, please don't post things unless you know what you're talking about.

Oscar, nor it's predecessor, has *ever* supported the Elite II, and it's unlikely in the extreme that it ever will.
