Tap Pap Discontinued?

Post by khauser » Sun Jul 19, 2020 7:27 pm

So lucky me is getting a bridge in a month or so, and I wanted to refresh myself on what tap pap has said about using the boil and bite piece with a bridge.

Well, I can't find much at all aside from a few sites that still have stock. It's gone from Amazon, and I have gotten it there in the past. Many places no day discontinued.

I use it as a back up when I have issues with the bleep mask. I guess i need a new backup :(

I have not heard of it being discontinued but that doesn't mean much.
cpap.com still has it showing available along with all the various replacement parts.

Though I just did a quick search for the company that makes them and sold them...I can't find it now.

They may have closed the doors. Won't be the first cpap mask company to do that and won't be the last especially when it comes to small companies.

Yep, we all can still find stock, but the more troubling issues are that the company itself has vanished, and sites like [rul]https://www.easybreathe.com/TAP-PAP-Nas ... p4291.html[/url[] which states:
The headgear is no longer available as this mask line is discontinued.

Yep...it does appear that eventually there will be no more TapPap unless someone bought the company and will continue the product at a later date. I couldn't find anything about Airway Management though that pointed to anything which is odd because I have been to their website in the past. I don't know when it went poof or why.

I don't know if you use the headgear or not...but I have at least one I think that you can have if you need it. When I used that mask I never wanted to use the headgear since the whole idea for me in using it was avoiding headgear.
I also have an unused mouth guard that I kept as a spare "just in case" I ever went back to that mask that I won't ever need.
If I couldn't use the Bleep I would just use the P10 and heck...someone might even come out with something I like better than the P10 in future that could be a second choice should I not be able to use the Bleep.

So if you get in a bind...I got some Tap Pap stuff you can just have because I won't ever use it.

Hi Pugsy,
I'm good for now. I don't use the headgear, and I have a spare tray and several spare pillows, and I only need it for rare occurrences now as I've adopted quite well to the Bleep mask...
Thanks though!!

Hi everyone,

I work for the company and designed the TAPPAP mask in 2012. The mask is not being discontinued, only the headgear. The company website is https://tapintosleep.com

It is available on CPAP.com and other sites.

Regards,
Mask Guy

Thank you.
Your product has its fans.
I own one myself; though it is not my primary mask.

Thanks. I suspect they are discontinuing the headgear because they didn't sell much of it. After all the reason the TapPap is so nice is you don't have to use the headgear.
It's good to know that it is only the headgear that is being discontinued.
