I tried metsfan earlier this year myself and haven't heard back from him. I have had 2 covers over the years from him and have used them every night. I love them. Was hoping to get another because you know Murphy's Law.

Having made and used both crochet and a sewn hose covers for my own use, I've decided for my situation the light weight flannel, like was recommended earlier in this thread works the best. The crochet is a lot heavier and might be good in colder climates but I prefer the lighter weight. It dampens the noise without weighing down the hose. The sewn ones are also super simple to make you can easily make them in different colors so you have plenty of spares for Murphy. Or if, like me, you like to change the colors to match the seasons
