Air swallowing

Post by DJBKGSK » Fri Jul 17, 2020 3:29 am

I used cpap successfully for 9 months but stopped using in January. I’m looking to get back, however whenever I use now I end up air swallowing a huge amount. I used to use a pressure setting of 9. My pulmonologist changed the pressure to 7 but I’m still having major issues with air swallowing into stomach. Same mask — nasal mask, so no change there. Any suggestions?

Need to know what machine your are using along with are you using any exhale relief that might be available on your machine and if you are...at what setting.

Otherwise...we call it aerophagia and there are lots of posts talking about it and some general ideas to help can be found at the wiki link below
