CPAP smells causing migraines

I just spent time in the hospital with my old Airsense 10 for Her. They added an oxygen line to the A10 and had me on an oxygen line when I wasn't using the A10. Soon thereafter, I started getting headaches, which I usually do not have. When I finally saw a pulmonologist, she said that the oxygen needed humidity added to avoid headaches. That worked for me. I was using the A10 humidifier with oxygen added, but that was insufficient humidification. I also experienced odd smells in my machine and separate oxygen lines in the hospital at times, resulting in headaches, so I sympathize with the experience of unusual smells and headaches. I hope you find a solution that works for you. Odors are not a problem I ever had when using a CPAP/APAP machine at home, even when they were new.

Maybe you should start a campaign to get that changed. You would be just the person to do it, I think, Pugsy! Sounds like you know the right people.

You get the same response I told someone who wanted me to start a cpap&insurance for people turning 65 website....no, no, no and hell no.

Well, that's a shame, but I understand. Just thinking about dealing with government departments makes my eyes glaze over. I guess that's one thing that DOESN'T change from one country to the next. Government red tape!
