IMO Option1 (shorter wire Ring Terminal) should be long enuff. Don't forget the cpap cord will give you additional length.
Also I think the charger you already have is over kill. By all means you can use it because you already have it. What I have used are both of these for diff applications

The smaller one I have seen on sale for $5 so keep an eye out if that interest you. You can use these with the alligator clips to try things out or crimp on some rings lugs.
I have used mine for almost 10 yrs like a UPS with the charger always plugged in - while using DC to power my cpap. Who wants to wake up in the middle of the nite to fuss around with a plug then
'try' to get back to sleep?
Not I.
The trade off with larger battery chargers, they charge fast at the cost of cutting the lifespan of the battery in the long run, that is why battery maintainers work more safely. Jim
Also they are less likely to put off fumes, and boil out the battery.
