Aircurve 10S shows red frowny face for mask for when I wake up even if green face shows prior to sleep

I hope someone can give me some ideas on this problem. For the past 2 nights, my Aircurve 10 S + heated humidifier shows the red frowny face in the morning indicating a poor mask fit/high leak rate. But prior to me going to sleep I run the mask fit test and it shows a green smiley face. The machine was delivered new on 7/7/20 and the mask was also delivered new which is a Swift FX pillow mask. On day 1 of 7/7 I used the Swift FX and got the poor mask fit In the afternoon after a 4hr sleep even though I had a green smiley face after running a mask fit test prior to sleep. Best sleep I ever had. No complaints about the machine or the mask at that point so I felt the reading odd. No dry mouth either. Later on that same day I switched the med pillow that was on the mask out the bag to the large pillow mask as I have a big head and thought maybe that was the issue. Large pillow mask actually fit better than the med. Ran the mask fit got the green smiley face and started therapy that night. Woke up again to a red frowny face and this time my mouth was dry but felt well rested and wasn't tired at all through the day. Felt the readings were again odd. On night 2 of 7/8 I accessed the clinician's menu and turned on leak alert and switched the mask option from pillow to full face. I then replaced the Swift FX to a Quattro FX face mask I had available which was also brand new because I used it only once before to try it out but switched back to using pillow masks ever since. Ran the mask fit test and got a green smiley face. Went to sleep and woke up this morning to red frowny face again and didn't get a leak alert during the night either. Does anyone know what could be causing this? I don't want to say the machine is defective because I'm showing green smiley face readings while awake. On both nights I would go to the home menu and hit run mask fit during the therapy just to ensure I saw a green smiley face and I would but still got the red upon ending the therapy. Did anyone else encounter this problem with their Aircurve or Airsense? Thanks in advance for any solutions.

It's simple...your mask is moving around and/or you are mouth breathing after you fall asleep. That's very common.
It's moving enough to break the seal and cause a big leak....or you are mouth breathing enough to lose a lot of pressure out the mouth.
Everything fits fine during the mask fit check but after you go to sleep things go to hell.
We move around and masks moves...or we open our mouth and do a lot of mouth breathing (that's where the dry mouth comes from with the Swift FX) or the Swift FX could also imply be moving around as well.

What are your settings? Are you using the ramp feature? At what pressure are you doing the mask fit check thing?

The "smiley / frowny face" is a summary of the night. At the the time you put the mask on you didn't have sufficient leaks, that doesn't mean leaks can't or won't occur.

Things change overnight, we change position, our muscle tone changes, we open our mouths, our face gets oily, all of which can contribute to leaks.

Your machine is data capable, put an SD Card in your machine, download OSCAR, post some graphs and we can look at the characteristics of the leaks and start doing something about them.
