Can Philips Respironics Cpap also work as Bipap? DSX500T11C

Post by rocketlegs » Wed Jul 01, 2020 12:27 pm

I got an unused Philips Dreamstation DSX500T11C.

Unfortunately I just found out yesterday that I need a bipap, as my sleep study results came in. I thought the Dreamstation could be either cpap or bipap but from doing more research I'm afraid it's an entirely different machine.

Is there some secret code to switch this model to be a bipap so I don't have to get another machine?

Nope.

Do you think anyone would pay the extra for a BiPap if there was?
How did you buy the dreamstation? Are they unable to trade?

There is no secret code to make the DSX500 DreamStation Auto CPAP into a bilevel device.

Now it might be that you could still use this machine....all depends on what your bilevel settings prescribed might be and why you need bilevel.
You might get close enough to make it work...

So exactly what bilevel machine and settings and why....were you prescribed to be using?

It would be a mericle if any cpap could be what ever a person needed it to be. I personally have never heard of bi pap.

Do you have a mental database of all of these? I am astonished sometimes how quickly you provide such links...

He has a giant spread sheet that cover's the entire wall. At the rate he is going, he will need to start posting things on a second wall in about a month.
