Selling a cpap: how to change data/ settings work for buyer?

Post by Chandleresque » Sun Jun 28, 2020 1:35 pm

Will the buyer of my resmed airsense 10 simply need their own sd card and a provider to initiate therapy? Does sd card work like a mobile phone SIM card ? And allow remote changing of prescription settings? Just wondering what a second hand buyer needs to be aware of to get started if new to cpap treatment

All you need to do is go into settings....Go to Delete Data and Restore Defaults..(Leave the SD Card in). The machine will be clean. Do you know how many run hours are on the machine? A buyer will want to know that.

No, SD cards and SIM cards are totally different.

So how does the cellular monitoring work from my cpap provider? How do you remove this if selling machine so they don’t transmit data? Thanks

Just notify your doctor that you have changed machines.
The buyer will not need monitoring unless he needs it for CDL compliance.
He will need to notify whoever is responsible for his monitoring.
Otherwise, there is nothing to worry about.
Usually, only insurance cares about this.
As long as your machine belonged to YOU when sold, there is no problem.
