New CPap comming ???

Post by tlohse » Thu Jun 25, 2020 5:45 pm

I believe it’s going to be finally happening a new Cpap machine. At my last appointment the dr ordered me a new machine. I have had my old cpap at least 6 years and when I’ve ordered supplies I’ve been getting a water chamber that doesn’t fit my machine so I am assuming my cpap is outdated or discontinued. I’m not sure when the new one will be here but last I heard the supplier was processing the order and my care manager had just sent in the authorization. Hope things turned out good. I have a follow up in 3 months in September.

Thomas, that's good news! Do you know what make and model it will be? If you have any questions as you make the transition, I bet there are plenty of people who will be glad to help.

More likely, your DME is incompetent.

You may have a good point there. I used to use Lincare but Switched over when I went to my AirFit P10 nasal pillow mask witch works a lot better for me than
My first mask did.

I have to agree. I think I saw op has a system one, and you can definitely get those humidifier chambers.

I just found out AeroCare is giving me a ResMed CPAP it says Airsense on the documents they emailed me. I am scheduled to have a virtual visit on July 14th at 11 am to get it set up.

Insist on an Autoset or Autoset for her.
The plain CPAP is the bottom of the line--they get the goldmine and you get the shaft.

The new Cpap came on Friday. Not sure how it is as I don’t have the appointment to set it up for another week yet.

Before you take possession of the machine, make sure it is not an Air Start machine. They'll screw you when you ain't looking.

Look on the front of the machine, in the bottom right-hand corner. Do you see the word "Autoset" under the words "Airsense 10"? If yes, great; you have an excellent machine. If no, please don't use it, and hassle them until they give you a ResMed Airsense 10 Autoset.

Or an AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her, don't worry about the for Her branding. It's actually a more functional machine. Plus, chicks dig guys who use the AutoSet for Her.
