Hi All,
New CPAP person here {2 weeks}...Question...My arm and now my legs have started to fall asleep and feel heavy is that normal?...and I have the nasal pillows and cannot seem to sleep on my side the air is coming out the bottom and its just not comfortable unless I'm on my back...pls help!

For your sake, give us something to go on... like which model of what machine are you using, and which mask (there are very many machines and even more masks), plus do you know your pressure settings? Are you using the ramp? How many hours are you sleeping with the mask and machine on? Does the heaviness happen at particular times like when you're about to sleep, or when waking up, or some other time(s)? Do you take meds - what kind? Please stay with this thread when you come back - thanks!

Another question in addition to Julie's: is it possible you're falling asleep in some awkward position that interferes with circulation to your arms or legs? I ask because if you're trying to get used to the whole new CPAP thing, you may not be sleeping in the most natural or comfortable position.

Useing a res med with pillow mask only go meds and only way I can sleep is on my back. Pressure starts at 4 ends up near 11. Sleep at least 8 hours and no particular time. Just feel it all say all night since I started this cpap I hope this cleats it up a bit.

There are hundreds of Resmed machines - we need to know which model you use, and if it's an Auto, a plain Cpap, what the pressure settings are ("starts at 4 and goes to 11" may or may not be the 'settings').

I have no idea what 'go' meds means!

If you want help, as I said before, give us something to go on - ask the dealer or whoever you got the equipment from what you have - specifically, same for the mask.
