Covid Cpap soap ???

Couple of days ago ran out of my DME dedicated expensive CPAP soap, so following the "experts" advice on the forum ran down to the grocery store for some Dawn dishwasher soap. Didn't have my glasses with me but found some citris Dawn soap ( like the citris smell ). Came home and washed my mask and rinsed well( 2 week interval ) and was looking foward to a good night sleep with some nice citris smell. Put it on that night and it had a funny residue and irritation. After a poor night sleep I thought " boy those people are tough as nails and I must be just a wimp "! Tried it again last night not as bad but not great. Mentioned it to my wife this morning ( see doesn't need glasses ) and she says " did you know you picked up antibacterial hand soap.

Who would have guessed that they make hand soap and antibacterial to boot. My first thought was when Trump told us to drink or inject bleach was this close enough.

In the States, there is more antibacterial soap on shelves that plain soap. We have to check the labels to find plain soap. Standard health advice is not to use antibacterial soap for these reasons:

*Overuse of antibacterial products can reduce the healthy bacteria on your skin.

*Added chemicals to antibacterial soaps can remove natural oils, making skin drier.

*Using antibacterial soap or hand sanitizer can make people think they do not have to wash their hands as thoroughly or frequently.
