I had to think, "what a neat trick--how does he keep from falling off the bike?
I understood the meaning, but still had to giggle.
It's all about strapping your legs in and then setting the throttle lock...

When I lived in California, I rode a motorcycle to work. It was a sixty mile commute across the desert. I seldom saw any other traffic most of the time. This was a long, boring ride, especially in the summer when it was hot. One day while riding home, my left leg fell asleep, and I never noticed until I came up to the only traffic light in my commute. I stopped the bike, tried to put my left leg on the ground to balance myself, and fell over. My leg would not support me. Luckaly, there was not one around, and my bike was light enough that I could pick it up by myself. I was like the guy on the tricycle in the old Laugh In television show that ran into the wall and slowly fell over.
Growing old is mandatory, but growing up is optional.

I think the question I'd ask myself there is: "If someone drops their bike and nobody else is around to see it, did the bike really fall over?"

Sleep loss is a terrible thing. People get grumpy, short-tempered, etc. That happens here even among the generally friendly. Try not to take it personally.
