Mask Alarm

Post by Jabaquest » Sat May 16, 2020 11:37 am

Hi,

My mum has the Philips Respironics - System One machine. How do you turn on the alarm so that it notifies you if you take it off? I tried using mask alert to on but that doesnt work. Any help?

Thanks

Unfortunately the mask alert or actually leak alert feature on the Respironics machines is pretty lame. It's weak beeping at best that is very easily slept through. There's nothing we can do to make it any louder. It sucks but it is what it is.
Been there and done that myself with past Respironics machines.

You can turn it on in the setup menu but there is no guarantee you will hear it and you have to have Auto Off turned Off...to stand a chance of hearing the beeping.

First thing someone has to do though is turn Auto OFF....off and then turn the leak alert feature on...and hope you can hear the low level beeping when the mask is removed and a large leak happens....and it takes a minimum of 60 seconds before the beeping starts.
