Pulsing sound from CPAP machine

Post by Langleyger » Tue May 05, 2020 8:10 am

When I take my mask off in the morning, my machine makes a pulsing/throbbing sound. If I unplug it and replug it in, it stops. Any ideas?

Welcome Langleyger!

We might need a little more info about your machine.
Why not check out the links in my signature, especially the "Newbies Start Here" link? That will get you started on how to set things up so forum denizens can better help you.

If it's a respironics machine (since you haven't told us by filling out your equipment profile), it's trying to figure out why you're not breathing. If your machine has "auto off" turned on, it will stop after a minute, or you can just hit the start/stop button.

Keep it on while you are lying down.
Turn it off when you get up.
It's easier than it sounds . . .
