sincere apologies

Post by milboltnut » Sun May 03, 2020 6:14 am

I would like to ask for forgiveness to all I have offended with my unwanted behavior....

For the last 20 years.. at least, I really had no clue about the severity of Sleep Apnea but most of all the effects of it on my overall mental state. Alot of my issues relating to people over the years, I believe, after hearing from a sleep lab tech about children having sleep deprivation, really threw me back. As a young child I could fall a sleep at the drop of a hat during the day. The beauty part is noone pick up on it. On top of that psychical/verbal abuse I went through, well I really not get into the details, because I really don't care anymore, and that's a true sign of healing. I suffered through school, had low self esteem, didn't accel much with anything and never accomplished much even up to now.

I recently read that 1 out of three people suffer from Sleep Apnea.... I can't imagine all the people I worked with that probably have it ! Talking about "do you snore".. or why am I so tried during the day at work, or really man you need coffee at 11 in the morning, or for that matter all day long?

I know that I should have spent more time reading here, and all the painstaking time Pugsy and others put in the time to be helpful here.... the problem I face is there's alot of misinformation on the web and particularly on forums..... However... this is the first forum that I got cocky with the moderator and didn't get banned ! :o Thank You Pugsy !

Again I am truly sorry for the way I behaved and would wish everyone here to be safe and continue to seek the therpy for a more healthier you.

Sincerely.. Ralph

I think we're all a bit nuts now and short of patience, so give yourself a break... but I'm sure those who took offense will be very happy to hear your apology and forgive you.

Thank you. That goes for all of us. I recently blamed Julie for a calling me out on a posting. We're all entitled to our opinions, and we're all trying to help one another.

Stay safe and be nice.

You will find that the forum owners tend to allow people here a lot of room for personal growth and that Pugsy is not thin-skinned with her moderation responsibilities. However, direct, sustained attempts at disruption are often met with swift, permanent action in the interests of preserving and protecting the beneficial work being done here. I believe it is the combination of those policies that attracts and retains a number of us who post regularly.

Been there, done that. All of that. I feel your pain, but I'll spare everyone the details also. :D Just know you are in good company and not alone.

I was in my early 40's when my sleep apnea came under control and soon enough it because crystal clear it had been a lifelong condition. Zero question of it. I look back at some of my older posts in my usenet days and another forum I'm active in and it's just chilling to see in retrospect how incredibly irritable I used to be. I still have my moments, but even in real life the changes in my temperament that came about were very obvious and noticeable by everyone around me. I don't know where you are with your condition, but if it's a recent diagnosis for you, then take heart... it will only get better for you on so many levels. You WILL be a new person in short order.
