I had a new resmed airsense 10 autoset and it worked perfactly for 1.5 years, then machine hose heat failed, the machine, not the hose. Apria traded 4 machines for it, problem...warmup fails, heatet fails in all of them. Warmup, heater plate does not heat up. No heat felt, only 85 deg F measured with contact thermometer. Water cold. Also no heat in manuel or auto modes at max humidity. Heated hose working as heat felt at high setting. Unable to use due to dry mouth. Same mask for 20 years, no jhumidity or rainout at max 8 humidity, hose temp off. Apria is useless, will not even look at last machine, all undet warranty. Remember i have used the exact same machine fir 1.5 years, excellent results. Also i have been on apap since 1999. Used autoset T plus heated humidifier, every Resned model since, S9 was 2nd most recent. Warmup in older machines hot plate goes to 154 deg F withun 10 seconds, no water. New machine, no heat.
Please help.
Airsense 10 autoset warmup and humidifier
Re: Airsense 10 autoset warmup and humidifier
I estimate that there are 100+ members here that use the same machine..I have never heard of anyone having that many problems..

Apria and DME's in general are mostly awful. Basically your Airsense 10 heater was broken and Apria swapped out your machine for another used one at least four times with heaters that didn't work.Jfrost51 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 8:07 pmI had a new resmed airsense 10 autoset and it worked perfactly for 1.5 years, then machine hose heat failed, the machine, not the hose. Nobody should be treated this way. If you're using OSCAR software, the list of machines you're using should show up at the bottom of your stats pane. The serial number shows up there for each machine you use consecutively. Wouldn't that be telling if it turns out you've been swapping between the same two broken machines for each of the four swaps? If you aren't using OSCAR, then you could check the paper trail from the receipts you got from Apria, which should include the serial numbers of each machine that's been swapped out. If the run hours for your machine are well over 5000 (like in the 15000 hour range) you've been handed a really old machine that will likely fail faster than your original machine.
I wonder if writing a Note of Displeasure on Apria's corporate facebook page would be enough to get their attention.
I'm not sure I've got an answer for you, but I dropped Apria six months into my therapy over a decade ago, and I haven't looked back. I hope you'll find a way through this that satisfies you.

Could be... It was meant to sound sort of stick-in-the-mud, uppity, crotchety... snotty... snooty... I suppose there was an element of that from some of the "high society types" in the Belgravia set in London from that era.zonker wrote: ↑Thu Apr 23, 2020 10:52 amthat phrase sound oddly victorian, doesn't it?DreamDiver wrote: ↑Thu Apr 23, 2020 8:06 am
