Compliance - Tubing Size
Compliance - Tubing Size
I was wondering if anyone would be able to answer this for me. When I first started using my APAP, I had problems with compliance. After a long time of struggling, it was suggested to me to switch from the ResMed S10 slimline tubing to the larger diameter ClimateLineAir Max Oxy and I have been happily compliant since. It seems obvious that the air flow of the slimmer tubing wasn’t sufficient but I’m not sure why. Is it something to do with greater or lesser lung capacity? Or something else?
Re: Compliance - Tubing Size
It can depend on how long it is... beyond 10' the pressure can go down - be less effective.

It has nothing to do with anything.Mdalb wrote: ↑Thu Apr 16, 2020 9:30 pmI was wondering if anyone would be able to answer this for me. Slimline tubing works just as well as the regular size tubing, they both deliver proper pressure at the mask if the machine is set correctly.
The "something else" would be imagination, unless the machine were not set properly for the slimline tubing.
Climateline hoses set the tubing size automatically.

I've used standard tubing, Slimline and ClimateLine tubing throughout the years. I don't think there is a difference.

The placebo affect is a real thing.
I only buy white CoQ10, because the orange ones just don't appeal to me visually.
