OSCAR - Compliance Data Report for Insurance
Is there a report on OSCAR that can be printed as compliance data for insurance purposes?
The Statistics don't seem ideally set up for that.

Compliance is only for the first 90 days after receiving a new machine. The DME that supplied you with the machine is responsible for monitoring your compliance. They do it through the cellular modem or by reviewing your SD card.

Re: OSCAR - Compliance Data Report for Insurance
I hear what you're saying, but I don't have a DME. I fired them six months into my treatment and paid the remainder of the price on the M-Series on the spot because it was cheaper to pay one lump sum quickly than letting it roll through my insurance and get stuck for double the price for out-of-pocket. DME's are a racket.LSAT wrote: ↑Tue Apr 14, 2020 8:10 amCompliance is only for the first 90 days after receiving a new machine. When I bought my S9, I was told I needed compliance data, so I gave them the compliance sheet as printed out by ResScan software from my computer. Now I have the AS10, and am looking to make sure the insurance will accept it. That was about 9-10 years ago, so I guess I need to rethink my strategy.

Who did you buy the machine from?
Look on the Usage Statistics page...First 2 lines there pretty much prove compliance.
The thing is....someone who is unfamiliar with OSCAR isn't going to accept anything OSCAR says anyway. Fancy report or not.

Re: OSCAR - Compliance Data Report for Insurance
Agreed.
I just downloaded ResScan 6.0.2.13.
Yikes that's just as bad as when I was using ResScan 3 from so many years ago.
ResScan of 2020 is 1990's sluggish even on a powerful machine with beaucoup memory. I guess if the DME industry doesn't know any better, they're not going to expect better.
ResMed's machine and mask designs are superior. It just floors me that their software design is so peculiarly flawed.
I'm just looking at ResScan and comparing it with OSCAR and thinking -- what would it take to create a Compliance report for OSCAR?
And what if I want a similar report that includes a specified date range for data available, like the last six months or the last the whole year?
None of the current reporting methods includes things like trends in AHI duration or large leak for a patient. These could be invaluable tools, and yet they don't exist.
Imagine if the software could notice that within the last six weeks, your large leak 95 percentile has increased drastically and told you about it? Maybe time for a new mask?
Imagine if the software could tell you that over the last year your median apnea duration has decreased from 20 seconds per month to 10 seconds per month? Maybe therapy is working?
The software could do so much more. ResScan isn't leading the way. OSCAR could. Making it HIPAA secure might even make it preferable for DME's and sleep labs.
The data-driven report is a powerful tool. Regardless of who organized the data, if it's real, it can't be gainsaid. Making it look official just makes OSCAR all that much more legit. It's already a football field better than ResScan in so many ways. The ResScan interface is labyrinthine and snail-snot slow. OSCAR is adaptive and quick.
Unfortunately ResScan is not evolving. It's sitting on the laurels of ResMed's machine and mask design team. They really need a User Interface Nerd. Surely they should hire me. Ha ha!

Supply a compliance report and request a similar report be available from OSCAR.

Re: OSCAR - Compliance Data Report for Insurance
If you own the machine outright, which you stated that you do, no one will be checking your compliance. It's yours, use it or don't, basically no one cares.
"Compliance" is only for the insurance company, to justify them to continue making payments. They don't care about Oscar data or any kind of report you want to give them, they connect remotely to your machine to look at usage. AHI is irrelevant to them, they only need to know you are using it.

Dog Slobber wrote: ↑Tue Apr 14, 2020 2:46 pmActually, looking at it again with fresh eyes this morning, I'm seeing a pretty darned good report layout on OSCAR under the Statistics. The layout has it all there. It's just the wonky data. I'm certainly looking forward to a fix update.DreamDiver wrote: ↑Tue Apr 14, 2020 2:02 pmI'm just looking at ResScan and comparing it with OSCAR and thinking -- what would it take to create a Compliance report for OSCAR?

However, there are other considerations I'd like to see in OSCAR. I'll look at what others have suggested and see where my thoughts might fit in.
Thanks Dog Slobber!
