Internet Connectivity

Post by Rateman » Sun Apr 12, 2020 1:03 pm

My machine has not been able to connect to the internet for some time now. Had to delete some data from my card because it said it was full. I must have removed something it requires for internet access. I even tried my wife's card and it still did not work. Can I reformat the card or do something to help my machine connect. It is not in airplane mode, just so you know.

The ResMed Airsense 10 machines have a cellular modem..not internet. Strange about your card...I have been using the same 2gb card for several years and it has never indicated that it was full. They normally just write over. What are you trying to connect to?

How long is some time now?
What type of machine is it?

ResMeds connect via cellular, older ResMeds used technology that may not be supported by your cell system anymore.

Its ability to connect has nothing to do with your SD Card. Either reformat it or put in a new SD Card.

It's a Resmed Airsense 10. I have not been able to connect to internet for about 2yrs now. I have recently tried my wife's card and it made no difference. I've even updated my equipment details online and it made no difference.

The modems inside the machine that are supposed to do the cellular connections can just up and fail. They just quit working.
Sounds like that is what happened to your machine. It's not something you can fix.

Cellular technology is constantly changing.

ResMed 10 devices made about 2015 and earlier used CDMA technology, ResMed 10 devices made since then use 3G technology or better.

CDMA has been turned off in most (maybe all) regions in North America. This aligns with the two year time frame yours hasn't worked.

If you look on the back of your machine you should find under the IC number and FCC ID a code ending with AIR10CDMA, your wife should have a code ending with AIR103G.

You will never get your device to work in the cellular network because it's too old. changing SD Cards won't change this.
