My previous mAirsense 10 had nearly 18,000 hours on it when I got the new one,
but I never saw the warning.
When is that reminder scheduled?
Is it built-in at the factory, or is it programmed in later?

hmmm, this is not great news. I have an S9 (no motor life exceeded message though). So I checked. Purchased 4/21/2010... I should probably get a script from the doc for a new machine. I just figured they run forever.
They're machines, not Keith Richards.

btw, i saw a gif (wish i'd grabbed it) that said if covid-19 gets keith, there is NO chance for the rest of us!
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

It's probably in the software from the factory. Turns out mine has 25,529 hours on it (!). No warning but I've noticed that my software version is a bit older than some I've seen posted here.

Pretty sure the Motor Life warning is a factory setting. It's not a normal notification.

My old S9 had way too many hours. I think the SD card slot itself might have bit the dust because now with any card that goes in, the machine automatically wants to format it, regardless of whether it's already been formatted.

When you take the SD card out are you locking it? If you stick it in a windows PC to read it Windows will write something to it. Then the ResMed doesn't like it and requires a re-format. Might be the same thing when you format it on a windows PC.

This is just taking it out and directly putting it back in. No interaction with a computer. I tried several different cards. :(

My first CPAP machine, a Philips Respironics System One APAP, died around 5.5 years of use and with no warning, if I recall correctly. I went without CPAP for a month or so because I had to find a new DME and go through Medicare procedures. I got no sleep until I got my new machine (the Airsense 10), and got it tweaked to work for me with the help of members of this board.

As to my current Airsense 10 APAP machine, I reached the DME. He said I should get a prescription from my dr. for a new APAP machine and hope that my current machine lasts until July, which will be 5 years since I got the Airsense 10. Medicare will not allow replacement of a CPAP machine until it has been in use for five years.

As for Sleepyhead, can anyone tell me where the executable file would park itself by default when installed on a Windows 8.1 computer? I have found that there are Sleeepyhead files in a Documents file on my computer, but I still can't find how to access them.

I still haven't been able to sign into my original profile. My PM to Carole Goodman is in the "Sent" box, so I assume she or someone in the role of Board Administrator received it.

Which version of SleepyHead?

On my old versions the executable file was always down near the bottom when opening the SleepyHead main folder (not the one in my documents). There may be open and broken GL executable files depending on version.

Can you find the main SleepyHead folder?
