Difficulty getting started
Re: Difficulty getting started
The max pressure is at 18 because someone suggested that might be too high. Since the pressure is maxing out at time, seems like I should raise it?
For pressure, we know the pressure at the machine, but not at the mask. Seems like this could vary depending on the mask or are all masks designed to give the same pressure drop across their vent holes?

Re: Difficulty getting started
Nobody told you to set your maximum to 18, at least not in this topic.
Consistently you have been asked to set it to 20, by multiple people. Which you consistently ignored.
Yes, set it to 20.
Almost always, the advice given here is to set the maximum pressure to the maximum the machine allows. Unless there is a very specific reason to limit it, which hasn't been the case for you.

The pressure at the mask end is what matters and that is what the pressure line reflects within a tiny numerical difference.
Doesn't matter which mask is used either. The very small differences are so small its insignificant in terms of mattering.
I am sorry if you feel that you need to leave the forum because you didn't like the way someone offered their opinion as to what you were doing. You asked for someone's thoughts and you got them in a rather blunt manner with no sugar coating....but what was said to you was the truth.
Blunt and to the point but the truth.

It's not maxing out for very long but it is hitting the max. It probably isn't a big deal one way or the other in terms of data points if you keep 18 max or change to 20 max but the machine wants to go higher and can't. Up to you if you want to let it do what it was designed to do or not.
