Another one of those YMMV things....one person thinks something is funny but the next person doesn't happen to agree.

Agree to disagree and move on please.

I am in group 1b, right after medics and those confined to nursing homes
I plan to continue wearing my mask beyond the time expected to confer immunity,
simply for the emotional comfort of others.
I am just that decent.
As a matter if fact, I cannot help feeling just a little bit smug.

I'm in the group slated to get it pretty fast but I'll pass. Let someone else have my share. My luck I'll get the allergic reaction and die from that. No Thanks!

Am I supposed to adhere to a certain "group think" in a *meme* thread?
Instead of group think, you would do well to actually think.

Over 100,000 people have already been vaccinated, and none of them died from an allergic reaction. Few realize that vaccinations started in July and have been ongoing ever since.

For crying out loud! It's just a meme, Grumpy-Granny. You don't need to get your knickers in a knot over a meme. It was NOT directed at anyone. I shared it because it's humorous. Gobs of other folks outside of this "group-think" forum considered it humorous too. That's all. No need to read anything further into it.

The fact you feel the need to attack someone over a mere meme tends to indicate you do like to try and enforce your own flavor of group-think, does it not? Meme's are OK as long as *you* approve of them? Otherwise, you seem to have free rein to attack the person -- in this case as "unthinking" (your posting history is replete with similar examples).

And to further the "group-think" indications, it's likely safe to presume I get labelled the "bad guy" here for daring to respond to *you* attacking me over a measley meme...

Perhaps *you* would do well by digging as deep as you can to find whatever thread-bare, dusty scraps of tact and humor remain within you. Good luck with that effort. You might also realize that not everyone must agree in lockstep with you. Maybe heed what Pugsy wrote above?
If you're not having a good time, *DO* something about it.

The upside of anti-vaxxers is that a few of them could die.
the downside is that only a few will, but some of their CHILDREN could.

"Gobs" of other folks think masks do nothing to mitigate the risk of contracting COVID-19. The carton fuels their ignorant brains.

You can respond freely. The bad guy label is due to feeding ignorant brains. Why would you even want to do that?

Don't care. I'm allergic to everything including most antibiotics . (Have had autoimmune urticaria since I was 19)

I'm not willing to take the risk. As Pugsy always says YMMV. I'm not advocating for others to not take it.

I'm so sorry. One of the reasons I am anxious to get vaccinated is to stop the spread to those who can't be vaccinated.

BTW, your first post looks very different with this information added.

Indeed. There are people who the vaccine isn't such a good idea so for those that it doesn't potentially present a problem then we take it to help slow down the spread and risk to those who can't.

As always if there is any question as to risk or suitability....having a chat with PCP is probably a really good idea.

Lots of people locally are asking me, and that is what I always tell them.

The doctors I am following say, in general, a person who has had a prior anaphylactic event should get vaccinated. But, either carry their epinephrine autoinjector or make sure the facility administering the vaccine has them on hand. The CDC has recommended vaccine facilities have them readily available. But, yeah, ask your PCP if you have any doubts. She knows your medical history and current health condition.

Again, it's just a silly meme. I don't know anyone who has taken it as serious advice. I know plenty who found it humorous (present company clearly excluded). I also don't know which appears as more silly: someone taking a meme as serious advice or someone having a hair-trigger to the point where a mere meme causes them to get all "het up", accuse folks of being "unthinking" or a troll as the other reply labeled me. That speaks more about the attackers than the garden variety rube (that would be me) who posted the silly meme.
Anyone taking a cartoon as serious advice deserves whatever their lack of common sense earns them. And if they do, they have far larger problems than a silly cartoon. In line with that, anyone getting their feathers ruffled by a cartoon not personally directed at them needs better control of their emotions. They should not expect everyone else to modify their postings in order to control their emotions *for* them. With everything else going on in 2020, no one should allow a mere meme to send them flying off the handle and castigating folks.

And I'm done with this. You can have the last word.
If you're not having a good time, *DO* something about it.
