Is Dawn the best mask cleaning detergent. What other detergents do people use?

I used to use Method unscented, but they either stopped making it or Target quit selling it.
Any more, it is the clear, lightly scented Dawn.

They use it to wash crude oil from oil spills big and small. I have never used for anything except salad dressing on laundry.

why do you put salad dressing on your laundry?

"Dawn Vinaigrette". Makes the laundry taste so good. And leaves a pleasant aroma.

I learned a long time ago that my life runs much smoother when my wife is happy. As she told our daughters; "If Mom's not happy, no one's happy".

I have Up and Up Free and Clear dish soap. I bought it last year or so and Target stopped selling it. I'll be going back to the Dawn regime once I'm out of the Up and Up. Occasionally I'll do the vinegar sanitize method.

I haven't used this exact version of palmolive, but with the others, I have found the ammonia smell to be painfully strong. Totally unnecessary IMO.

There is no ammonia in any version of Palmolive dishwashing soap.

Not ammonia but "ammonia smell". Curious, I cruised around the internet and found a place that said ammonium laureth sulfate..... als is used a lot in the states but not in europe because the als gives an ammonia odor when the ph is alkaline.

Now I have no idea if this statement is true, factual or bogus ...... but Palmolive does give off a blindingly bad "ammonia smell" on the few occassions I use it.

Ammonium Laureth Sulfate and Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate smell no more like ammonia than H20 smells like hydrogen.
