I went today and picked up my APAP and mask. I received a ResMed Autoset Spirit and I picked out a ResMed Mirage Swift. I did not receive a heated humidifer but I am going to talk to my doctor next week about it.
Hopefully I'll be one of the lucky ones and feel an improvement immediately.
This forum has been great - just being able to understand the jargon when I talk to the doctor and DME has helped a lot. Throw in being able to ask informed questions helped tremendously.
Thanks to all of you.

Good luck Scott, keep everyone posted on your progress. The heated humidifier made a world of difference to me but not everyone seems to like them. Definately pursue it if you have any discomfort after your therapy. Good luck!

good luck Scott,
I got the Swift last week, and really like it. Played around with it a bit the first night - tried the different sizes until I decided which one fit best and adjusted the straps a couple of time. I've been using it since Friday, and no problems.

If you find your mouth/nose/throat too dry, a heated humifier il help you. I have been experiencing some minor things, so I upped my setting on the htd humidifier and VOILA, problems solved. See how you feel, you may or may not need it. I find it more comfy with it, think the humidification process is a personal choice for ea.person's comfort.
Good luck

Best of luck Scott! I love my Spirit. I would definately go for the heated humidifier, as it makes treatment that much more tolerable. In me it almost completely eliminates my sinus problems. Sweet Dreams!!
