Sizing Concern/Question - Dreamwear FFM

Post by ozviolinist » Tue Feb 18, 2020 2:10 pm

Hi all,

Newbie here. I am a week into therapy and have yet to run my data through OSCAR. I have a Dreamwear FFM and was wondering if anyone has had success with curbing leaks by moving to a smaller cushion size? I am on the cusp of the Small/Medium cushion and started with the Medium. My DME only gives you a week to try a mask before you have to pay for an exchange. My issue is that I have a bunch of leaks occurring as I move my chin or roll onto my side (although DreamMapper says I have 98-100% mask fit) that keep disturbing my sleep (along with the lovely flatulence sounds and wheezing that come with it, etc.). Just wondering if anyone had had success trying the smaller cushion rather than cranking down on the straps which I know can do as much harm as good.

Cheers!

Have you watched a few videos on fitting and adjusting? https://www.youtube.com/results?search_ ... +face+mask

Thanks for the response! I did watch those videos, but they were not much help for my issues. I ended up going to my DME and getting a smaller cushion. Had a much better night with minimal leaking and best AHI numbers (according to DreamMapper).
