Resmed S9 Sudden death!

Post by remstarcpap » Thu Feb 06, 2020 10:28 pm

My Resmed S9 with about 17,000 hours on it died last night, about 2 hours into the night. Just died. The power button was blinking, and there was a blue blinking light from the humidifier chamber as well.

I haven't tried to troubleshoot it, just switched over to one of my backups. Any ideas or thoughts?

BTW, it's privately purchased, so don't tell me to return it to my DME...

also, I didn't die, just woke up when the air stopped. (resmed airfit p10 mask)

The expected life of a CPAP machine is 15,000 hrs (5 yrs) maybe time to get a new one I would not expend any effort/cost on this one as it’s done it’s duty.

It does sound like it's time for a new machine!

However, check that all the seals are good, that the filters are clean, that the electric socket in question is good, and that all cords and hoses are connected properly.

17,000 is almost as many hours as I have on mine. (Still working "fine")
I am already working on a replacement--same model.
No machine runs indefinitely.
You got your money's worth.
Let it go.
