CPAP in Portugal

Post by Jonsey » Mon Jan 27, 2020 4:51 am

Here in Portugal for 2 months with my resmed10 CPAP machine. Using an adapter but notice I am taking much deeper breaths...feels a bit like I need more oxygen. Any ideas how to fix this issue ?

Thanks
Jonsey

I don't think it has anything to do with the electrical voltage being different.

Remember, you're in a different environment. Different latitude and longitude (meaning different time zone), different climate, different altitude, etc, and you're eating different food (possibly at different times that you're used to).

How did you get to Portugal?
Airplane--cesspool of contagious microbes?
And you thought the ticket was the complete price . . .

You might be right--I'd rather not think about it.

Most definitely the definition of the supermarket (I have to use WalMart because it ran the only other grocery store out of business when it came to my little bitty rural town)....even wonder why they have those wipes over by the carts.
I found out that I can't touch whatever their wipes are made with. I get big itchy burning whelps even if I lay just my forearms on the handle and someone has recently wiped the handle down. So I make sure I either have gloves on (in the winter) or long sleeve top on so the cloth is a barrier until I can get the handle wiped off with my clothes.

The worst part though is the line...always seems to be someone hacking coughing in line behind you...or they have their snotty nosed kids hacking and touching everything.

No self checkouts?
They seem to be getting more popular here.

Yeah, we have self checkouts available but most people are like me....god awful slow at it so I won't stand in line for self checkout... but I do use them when I only have a handful of items and there's no line in the self checkout section. I don't use them when I have a cart full of stuff because I want out of WalMart as fast as I can get out of there. The self checkouts and the self bagging thing really is a PITA for me with anything more than maybe one or two bags worth of goods.
I typically go only once a week so it's almost always an over full cart for me.
