SoClean question

Post by Curti$B » Sat Jan 25, 2020 12:11 pm

I am a new CPAP user. I have a ResMed Airsense10 CPAP and would like to purchase a SoClean CPAP cleaner, but I am having trouble trying to figure out what options and supplies I need. I decided on one for about $275 but it had a disclaimer that it was an older model, not the latest version. Most of the newest ones are about $350 but have different options and supplies. I'm not as interested in saving a few dollars as I am in ordering what I really need. Any suggestions? Thank you.

You might want to read this from ResMed before you buy anything like the SoClean.

The ONLY answer to the question of "soclean" is
NO!

Without even considering that it will void your machines warranty.

curtis, please don't take offense at my little joke. it's just that this topic comes up so often and usually starts another long argument about soclean.

most of us here think that it's a waste of money, is all.

and please read the link that pugsy provided. it is information that is very up to date.

The *fact* that Resmed has stated that using it will void your warranty ought to make it clear that buying or using noclean, or any ozone "sanitizer" is just ... Well, I'll be very nice and charitable and call it extremely ill advised and financially irresponsible.

The poor guy (assuming he's not a shill trying to just promote the NoClean name) has already been screwed if he really has the AirSense 10 CPAP model ....the half assed brick POS model.
Wonder if the DME who sold him that little "gem" is also recommending the NoClean....then when the half assed brick craps out they get to sell another machine because the warranty has been voided. Win win for the DME.
And DMEs are selling them....where I get my mask from offers them....which reminds me I need to point them to that little newly released document because they also sell ResMed machines.

Wouldn't it be an awfully terrible shame if a law firm were to use the ResMed statement as a basis for starting a class action suit on behalf of PAP users against FauxClean? For, indeed, are they not all honorable men?

How would you feel about it if:

Some guy in a hoodie and dark glasses came up to you one night and said "Hey pal, I have a poison gas generator in the trunk of my car. Give me 350 dollars and it's yours."

Some people would be tripping over themselves in their hurry to throw their wallet at the guy.

I wonder if you'd actually suffocate on the ozone before it ate your lungs out...

I wonder if there's a study. Hmm

My DME sells ResMed and SoClean. It’s all about money.

I wonder if they'll pay for repairs if Resmed says "nope".

Interesting. My lady at setup said to stay away from it and soap and water is fine.

If you can get your hands on a plasma ball, play with the weird lights for a while.
Then smell your fingers.
Eeeeeew! Ozone smells NASTY.
I do not see how anyone can equate that smell with "clean"
unless they have brain damage.
