Todays Laugh

Post by LSAT » Wed Jan 22, 2020 6:56 am

This morning I saw this Craigslist ad for a used Airsense 10 Autoset...

I have a BRAND NEW touch screen, high tech CPAP machine that has GPS and all kinds of cool add-ons. Everything is brand new, he literally used it once for like 30 mins. We’ll include the 2 gallons of distilled water. Comes with instructions and it was paid for by the insurance, so I own this machine. I just don’t use it and I need to send it on to someone who needs it.

Me: "can you please check the run hours?"

Them: "1864 - that must be some sort of code because I hardly used it after buying it"

Me: No, that's run time.

Them: OK, I'll check the GPS to see where it's been running to.

I didn't know mine had a touch screen . . .
Oh! I just touched it--nothing happened, but I guess it does.

That sound intriguing.

What is the camera resolution?
Does it have a charging dock for a cell phone?
Does the radio have good reception? (mine has pretty good FM, but the AM sucks)
NOAA station?
Waterproof for 20 minutes at 10 ft?
Microwaveable?
Electric start?

If it does and they will throw in a Soclean or similar poison gas generator, I might be interested.

*pokes at the screen on an airsense 10* "why won't this darn thing tell me how to get to my meeting tonight?"

Yeah, but I think D.H. claims he has an old gas powered Briggs & Stratton CPAP with a pull rope.
I do not want to get stuck with one of those. 8)

Not True, if he had a gas powered CPAP, he would have likely hooked the ose up to the muffler. He would have been safe, he never could start it anyway... Jim

I believe there was some research done on hand crank ones.
I think they ran into a snag with the sleep studies.
No one could even get past the transition from awake to Stage 1.
Dead end. Pity. Power outages would never have been a problem.
Oh well.

Thus the need for an electric start.
