PS, here are the two vents, with #2 on the elbow connector on top.

I wonder why ResMed doesn’t offer memory foam cushions for their newer mask!
If you go to cpap.com and sort ResMed's FFMs by popularity, you will see that the memory foam masks are not popular.
At my DME memory foam masks are the most popular.

They may be telling their customers that because the cushions require more frequent replacement. More frequent replacement means more sales/profit for the DME.

I got new F30i full face mask awhile back. Have transitioned from f20 to F30, which I really liked (found I was nose breathing, at least while awake, which I don't tend to do). I got the new F30i to see if having the hose hook on the top of my head helped the seal, as I experienced most leaks with F30 thru my nose and felt the new F30i with frame would hold the face mask tighter (thus better seal) to my nose. It does, but for some unknown reason, I'm getting zero ratings for "mask seal" on MyAir reports. I do notice with F3oi that much more air is expelled from the face mask vents AND from the connector on the head. Concerned about excessive leakage as side affect is waking with severe dry mouth. Any suggestions?

Reply to Post 139 and previous reply about measure for fit of new F30i. I couldn't find local place that even had it to check what fit I needed. I did my own cut out of the nose and wondered about the wider one, but stayed with the medium because my nose fit within it's boundary. The BIG issue for me was the frame as I have a LARGE head. I think on the online measurement chart it refers to taking a tailer tape (clothe) and how to measure. I happened to have one and at first thought I fell with the standard frame, then realized I was not reading the tape correctly: I was looking at where the tip of the tape touched not at the beginning lines. The picture on the chart even shows the need to do this to get a correct measure. And, with this correction, sure enough, I needed a large. So, when I put my Medicare replacement order in, I put down for large frame. I have it now and it does fit my head fine (with hats, I take a men's size 8 - so often can't find a hat to fit). Dean

I thought a zero rating meant no leaks. If not I've been misreading it for a long time.

Depends on what is reporting a zero rating. MyAir report or something else reporting like software.

MyAir....reporting zero....bad leak happening.

Mask Seal

This factor has a maximum of 10 points, and is determined by how well your mask is sealed, resulting in minimal mask leak. You can get up to 10 points for the lowest mask leak rate, 5 points for moderate leak, and 0 points if you have a high leak rate.

They must have updated their ratings. Current example:

It’s a “leak” vs “ratings” difference. Zero leak equals 20 points.

They must have updated their ratings. Current example:
I picked the first link in my search and I guess it is with the old 10 vs the 20 or maybe a typo at the first link.
My point is/was that 0 is bad and higher is good.

I don't use MyAir (nor do I wish to) so I haven't seen it for myself.

You are correct though. A zero rating is bad. My misreading.

I recently got a new machine with Medicare. The DME pretty much forced me to use myAir during the compliance period. Once the APP is installed and filled out, it does seem to be a no-effort way to get through compliance.

I can see the value in your situation. Can't really do that in my situation since I buy privately and unless my insurance (Medicare Advcantage) changes to something other than perpetual rental....I won't ever be using my insurance for a machine.

My DME has never asked for proof of usage for masks though...so I use it for masks sometimes whenever it benefits me to let insurance help me pay for something. Which reminds me...I need to go rattle their cage about them supplying me with the Bleep. I feel ornery enough to start a fight. They didn't want to the last time I asked them so I might as well pick a fight and see who gets beat up the worst.

I hope your carrier changes. Mine is also an Advantage plan but with a 3-month rental. The surprise was the DME charged me $65 for setup - not covered. Oh, well, it's only money. :?

Does the f30i and Dreamwear full face vent about as much as the Amara View--a somewhat strong stream straight outward? Not like the F10/F20/F30 that have the circular diffused venting?
