USE OF AIRMINI VS BI-PAP For Travel

Post by dalapa » Wed Jan 01, 2020 8:45 pm

I have an Air Sense 10 set to 22-23 intake and 19 exhale. I’d like to get an AirMini for travel but it only goes to 20. Has anyone used a lower setting for travel. Will the in line humidifier work that high on the AirMini.

Assuming your current pressures are what is optimal for effective treatment (and that may not be the case), lowering them seems like a very poor idea. (Getting quality sleep is at least as important while travelling as it is at home). Also, I think you probably have something like the AirCurve 10 Vauto (as I don't think any of the AirSense models go above 20; nor are any bi-level -- although they do offer EPR).

OTOH, if you looking for something to use only while on the plane....
Machine: Aircurve 10 Vauto (Prior S9 VPAP)

Configure your BiLevel using the Maximums the AirMini is capable of (IPAP 20, EPAP 20, EPR 3), and see how you do for a night or two. This way you have the benefit of looking at the performance with OSCAR.
