Dry throat help, with full cpap mask

I was using the pillows cpap which was giving me dry throat, so I switched to a full face mask cpap to stop the dryness of my throat but I'm still having the same issue, what can I do to not have dryness in my throat, do I change the settings of my humidifier or go back to my Dr to change my air intake on my machine

welcome aboard! would you please take the time to read the "newbie" thread? it's listed in my sig as a link. click on it and start reading. folks here are going to need to know a lot more about you before they can intelligently answer your questions.

we need to know which machine your using, which full mask and so on. it really does make a difference what you are using as each of us is different in what equipment we use.

you can change the settings for humidity yourself. no need to go to the doctor for that. but, again, we need to know which machine you are using. read the newbie thread and give us some info so that we can help you help yourself.

So, dry mouth. There are typically better ways to deal with dry mouth than lowering the pressure settings. Lowering the pressure settings can impair your treatment. Complex topic I will skip for now.

Here is what I found helped:
a) Avoiding mask leaks. This was crucial for me.
b) Upping the humidifier settings
c) Being well hydrated in general.
d) Using a mouth guard can make (at least it did me) you produce more saliva.
e) Consider something like biotene spray right before bed
