Res Med Airsense 10 Issues

Post by MartyL » Fri Dec 27, 2019 11:58 am

I have had my Airsense 10 for a little more than 4 years. During that time I never had a problem with it but after a new sleep study my Doctor changed the pressure settings and it has behaved oddly ever sense. I can not say that the pressure change is the cause , but I suspect its at least in part related. Recently while using it the on line report shows major issues with leakage. I assume that to be due to the higher pressure. In part I tried several new mask designs but none of them are working to stop this issue. Some of it may be leakage via my mouth as I used a dreamware under nose mask. However even with a well seated full face it is still showing excessive leakage.

Also recently when I put it on for the night there is a bast of air then it falls back and ramps up as it normally did.

Another anomaly, two nights ago, I woke to find the machine going through another ramp up as if the system had been stopped and restarted which it had not.

Finally despite all climate control functions being set to auto the system is putting out excessive amounts of moisture so that the mask is dripping water. I don't believe the number the manual setting is set to has any impact on auto does anyone know about that. Mine is set to 4 but as I say its been on full auto and never had this problem till the last two nights.

As all of this happened after the increase in pressure I am inclined to believe that's at fault but not sure.

What specific model Airsense 10 do you have? What was the pressure setting before the change? What is the current pressure setting? What is your average AHI? My Crystal Ball is on strike for the holidays. Most of your problems have little relationship to the pressure change.

You can either have the machine on auto, or manual, auto is auto... so it doesn't matter what the manual number is, when it's in auto.
