I’m a newbie, got my CPAP in Sept. I started out with a Res Med full face mask and I was really happy with it at first. It made my neck a little sore but I could live with that. Then the side of my nose, I sleep on my side, was getting almost a bone bruise. But I wore it over 4 hrs a night usually much more. I wear size extra small.
About a week ago I went to see what other masks might be available. I got a Res Med Air Fit P10 extra small. The first night went well. The next was just a few hours. Last night I was really careful to make sure it was nice and tight but I got up to find out that the mask was on the floor. My husband didn’t hear anything unusual either night.
So I have two masks, maximum coverage and in the nose minimum straps. One thing I have wondered since the original mask worked really well for the first two months is if the head gear was all stretched out and I just need to replace that.
Small Face, Tiny Nose, Arthritic Neck
Re: Small Face, Tiny Nose, Arthritic Neck
The headgear on your full face mask should be adjustable, with velcro to adjust it was it stretches. The Resmed (one word) P10 does tend to slip off if you don't have the strap far enough down on the back of your head... some ladies wear their hair in a ponytail at night, and will put one, or both of the straps under that.Stormrider2 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2019 4:50 pmI’m a newbie, got my CPAP in Sept. Welcome to the zoo! You can remove the headband on that p10 and either toss into the washer or hand wash it, then toss it in the dryer or let it dry by hand.
This will cause it to shrink up somewhat and can be done several times before it just won’t happen anymore.
Good luck!

Yup, I just chunk mine in with the regular wash, since there's no velcro on it to pick up lint, it's easy peasy.zonker wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2019 1:49 pmWelcome to the zoo! Mine goes in a lingerie bag with the week’s scunci bands, sleep mask and elastic bands. The headband doesn’t go in every week, just when I think of it.palerider wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2019 3:12 pmYup, I just chunk mine in with the regular wash, since there's no velcro on it to pick up lint, it's easy peasy.zonker wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2019 1:49 pmWelcome to the zoo!
