ResMed Airsense 10 humidifier making "bubbling" noise
Hey guys. My cpap is only a month old and I've been experimenting with the humidifier settings. It's been really dry here so I cranked it up all the way. It was working extremely well and was getting the best sleep I had in a month bc I could actually breathe. Then I woke up after about 5 hours to it making a bubbly like noise up the tube. It was loud enough to wake my wife up. I quickly turned off my cpap and checked the water level. It was in the middle of the min and max. Still I thought maybe I'll fill it up to max and fix the problem but it didnt. There was visible water through my tube and mask (dont know if this is normal). I air dried everything today and am planning on not using the humidifier tonight. Idk what happened. Maybe too much water got in the tube somehow? Idk. Looking for answers cuz I'd love to use my humidifier. Thank you.

Condensation happened in the hose/tube.
We call it rain out.
You have several options...see posts number 2 and 3 here to save me from having to type all this stuff again.

Easiest option if you are using a heated hose...increase the hose air temp.
If not using a heated hose....get one.
While waiting for the heated hose take some old socks and cut the toes out and slide them up over the hose so they can help insulate the hose air. Hose cozy...you can make one or buy one.

I'm gonna try putting the machine on the floor tonight and see if that helps at all. Maybe turn down the humidity a couple notches.
Thanks for your response!

We can't be expected to answer without knowing what machine you have....Chances are the answer is yes.CyclonePap wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2019 8:53 pmI assume I can use a heated hose with the cpap I have?Pugsy wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2019 7:30 pmCondensation happened in the hose/tube.

Re: ResMed Airsense 10 humidifier making "bubbling" noise
There are integrated heated hoses and to use one of those it requires the cpap to be heated hose capable...and not all cpaps are heated hose capable.
I have no idea which brand or model cpap you are using.
But even if you had a brand or model that isn't heated hose capable there are stand alone heated hoses that can be used with any cpap machine. No temperature adjustment though...either on or off but better than nothing.
