I've been using CPAP machines since 2012 and I've been pretty comfortable with my masks until now.
I had just received a new Fisher & Paykel "Zest-Q" mask (the same kind I've been using for a while), but for some reason it kept leaking. Long story short, I was allowed to pick out a different type of mask at my local supplier to replace it.
I felt how comfortable the Philips Respironics ComfortGel Blue full face mask was and it seemed to fit my face well enough that I decided to take it home. The only problem is I have to tighten the straps so tight that I feel like I'm cutting off circulation to my head to get it to where the mask only leaks a little bit. Even then, it doesn't feel like the mask is tight enough against my face to prevent air leakage, especially at the corners above my mouth/under my nose - just twitching my face muscles a bit (if I have an itch) causes enough of a gap for air to shoot out.
I live in the land of medical debt (the US) and I'm not in a financial position to where I can order a bunch of masks just to try them out, so does anyone have any advice as to how to keep my mask from leaking and (hopefully) not having to keep it so tight?
