How to figure out the right pressure setting

Post by mookie » Tue Nov 19, 2019 3:38 pm

Hi there,

I have been lurking for a while but this is my first post on here.

I've been on CPAP for at least 8 years. I messed around with the pressure settings at one point and I no longer remember what my pressure was supposed to be set at. Is there any way that I can run some tests to figure out where I should be at. Also, my weight has fluctuated so I could need more or less pressure than I used to. I am using a SleepStyle 200 Series machine.

Thanks so much!

You need a sleep study or a machine that gives data so you can use software to monitor your therapy.

I'm long overdue for a new machine and believe me I'd love to avoid going to another sleep study. What seems to be the best machine out there these days?

We should have a sticky, *sigh*

Resmed, AirSense 10 Autoset for Her.
Second best:
Resmed AirSense 10 Autoset
Third
Philips respironics dreamstation auto, (though you couldn't pay me to use one.)

Thank you very much. Can you tell me what the main difference between the regular Airsense 10 and the "For Her" model?

A third auto adjusting algorithm is the only difference.
You can read about it in the manual.

One more option in how we try to get the best results.

Cool.. Thanks! Im going to order this unit on Dec 1st when I get paid. I just realized that I qualify for a government co-pay option so I would get this unit for $500 Canadian dollars!
