SO glad I read this before I went to bed....i adjusted the top strap to were its pulling it up against my nostrils instead of back... If that makes any senseJanknitz wrote: βWed Nov 27, 2019 3:01 pmTry fitting your mask again--the fixed pressure will make this a bit easier:
1. Loosen the straps.
2. Lay down in your preferred position (does not have to be your back--apneas increase on your back so if you prefer your side, lie on your preferred side).
3. Put on the mask and turn on the machine.
4. Use one hand to hold the mask gently against your face as you adjust the straps JUST so it doesn't leak. If you sleep primarily on one side, you may find that you have the strap on the "up" side of your head ever so slightly tighter, and the pillow side ever so slightly looser to accommodate the way the pillow pushes the mask.
5. Make sure the back strap is on the right place on the back of your head. The pressure should be pushing up against your nose, not back against your front teeth.
This kind of mask can be a bit tighter than the usual air cushion masks, but not so tight that it's mashing your nose. You don't want to look like Miss Piggy!
Thank you!!
No miss piggy tonight
