More exhausted now than before C-Pap

Post by Peacenana » Sun Nov 03, 2019 12:31 pm

I am still a newbie - 32 days in a row so far. But I find I'm more tired than ever. I use the Dreamwear Beneath the Nose Nasal Mask and a chinstrap but continue to wake up with mouth "puffing." I've tried the full face mask but find it even more difficult to adjust to. Plus with FFM my cheeks puff up with air and that wakes me too. I am a very light sleeper so this is especially hard.
The other problem is skin irritation. I ordered the pad a cheek covers for my mask straps and am hoping that will help. I have rosacea and it has been much worse since I started using the mask. Also my eyes are glassy and irritated and extremely fatigued, but that could be from the exhaustion.
I am tempted to go a night or two without c-pap just to feel better but I have severe OSA especially during REM sleep and my doctor has urged me to stay with it.
Do I need to go on the full face mask? The chinstrap doesn't seem to be cutting it though it's a not a very good one - the equipment provider gave it to me. It also digs into my chin and leaves marks.
Thanks for any advice/encouragement you can provide. How long before I can sleep again?

You've given us, literally, nothing to go on.

post some charts, it's most likely that your machine isn't adjusted properly.

wiki/index.php/Sleepyhead:Organize this says 'sleepyhead' but the same process works for the current Oscar.
