Looking at my data for the first time...

Post by Rem949 » Mon Oct 28, 2019 7:46 pm

I've been using CPAP for about a month now and haven't felt any difference. I'd love any thoughts on my OSCAR data. I attached Thursday and Friday nights, which are pretty typical for me. (Both times, I woke up early in the morning -- 4:30 or 5 -- and took my mask off because I couldn't fall back asleep with it on). Overall, I usually get 7.5-8 hours sleep.

For reference, my sleep study showed an overall AHI of 13.5, which increased to 30 during REM sleep. I keep to a pretty regular sleep schedule, have a regular bedtime routine that involves winding down and no blue lights, and I'm not on any medication with stimulant effects/side-effects.

Thank you in advance!

I’ll give that a try tonight, thanks.

I’m not really sure what I’m looking at in these charts, but I’m trying to learn. Is there anything that jumps out?

Just a low rustle of "could be better".

You're not having too many things flagged, you're not having a lot of movement on the pressure line (kind of to be expected with a Respironics... but you're also not getting many of those spiky 'pressure probes'... (more is better). when your breathing is kinda ragged, the machine does nothing at all, but when your breathing is good, it starts getting seemingly restless and starts doing those short term 'probes', the spikes that show up... so the more of them you have, the better your breathing is.

Thank you so much for taking a look. That’s good to know.

Hi! I upped my minimum pressure a little white ago, and it seems to have helped lower my AHI. Most nights now seem to be below 3 -- I even had my best night yet with 1.89...followed a few nights later by a worse night at 5.47.

I'd love any feedback! Should I keep the min and max as-is?

Does it look like I'm having more leaks than I should? I'm not sure what's normal/acceptable. I use a nasal pillow (Dreamwear) and it does seem to wake me up occasionally with leaks, usually the pillow is pushing it sideways. I've ordered a chin strap, and I've been trying to get the Airfit N30i -- long story w/ unresponsive DME, difficulty getting my RX so I could order myself from cpap.com, etc. -- to see if it fits better. Hopefully soon...

Thanks in advance for taking a look!

I'd move to min 11 max 20 and give it a few days, see what that does.
