Sounds reasonable - I am guessing the test wouldn't be scheduled for a few weeks out anyway due to their schedule. One major concern is that these numbers are based on me being asleep only half(estimating) the time due to my poor sleep quality and the numbers are completely inaccurate to begin with.
During my titration study, I didn't reach REM. So the sleep doctor (the control freak doctor) was going to recommend CPAP only. Fortunately, for me, my 3+ months of data showed a different story and he was able to recommend an APAP. Here in Ontario it is different from the US/Medicare situation in that CPAP and APAP have different prices (APAP being higher) and justification for the higher priced machine has to meet an established criteria.
My titration study night was very disruptive. The leads came off a number of times (new tech), then rainout, the hose had to be changed and machine adjusted, along with a crying child running around. No wonder I never reached REM. A waste of money. ... not mine but the health care systems. I am not sure a titration study has any value except for the more complex cases.

Had my best AHI yet last night!!

I woke up at 5AM and was up for a while but am feeling much better today. On another note, according to my fitbit, I had highest deep sleep and REM numbers ever!! I know fitbit data is sketchy at best but it appears to be somewhat close?? Any thoughts on Fitbit data? Also I got a new headgear for my F30 which just arrived and feels much better so I'm looking forward to more progress. Thanks again all! This forum has been invaluable! Oh and very interesting CPapian - appreciate the comments.

The FitBit data is fairly close. Close enough considering it's not like we have very many other easy cheap options that are any more reliable.
Especially since the way you feel seems to go along with what it says.
I had a FitBit (actually 2 of them) for a while until they crapped out and while there were a few instances where I know the data was wrong (like once it told me I was in deep sleep and I know I was up letting the dog out to pee)....for the most part I think it was accurate enough to give me a decent enough idea what was going on. Nothing is ever totally perfect but it does a decent job.
I think that your sleep quality is the biggest factor in your AHI and how you feel. I wouldn't get in a big hurry to change anything and instead just work on improving the sleep quality which is hard enough as it is. So many things can mess with our sleep and we don't always have much control over them.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

the Philips Amara View - I happened to see another post on here about it on Tuesday. Amazon is amazing it's now on my head like 48 hours later! It fits much better - the other one was jammed around my ears and the crown strap sat right on my receding hairline. I need to keep as much hair on my head as possible lol. This one has much more flexibility and is much more comfortable.

How is the Amara view different than the DreamWear FFM? They look very similar to me.

I've had similar experience with my fitbit, particularly telling me I was in a deep sleep when I was awake. Any idea what the large leak event is all about? I don't recall being awake or anything?? Also, the aerophagia is the best it's been in a while. Yes, I think I'm going to leave well enough alone for now. I can't complain.

The mask just moved a bit is the most likely cause of the large leak flagging. You just slept through it and in the grand scheme of things it isn't a massive large leak. I suspect you moved and the mask moved and caused a consistent break in the seal and a little later you moved again and fixed the leak while essentially in your sleep.
We can sleep through some pretty big leaks sometimes....and other times the tiniest of leaks might keep us awake. Go figure.
Don't worry about it. Nothing you can do about it now anyway. I have seen much worse lasting a lot longer.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

I'm not familiar the actual mask of Amara view, just the headgear. No idea about the DreamWear either. I am happy with my Resmed F30 but the headgear was not comfortable and the Amara head gear happens to fit perfectly so it is a great addition. I'm actually brand new and the F30 is only my second mask. First was a nasal pillow mask which was terrible for my aerophagia(at least that's what I thought). The aerophagia has reared its ugly head again, even at the lower 5 cm pressure. Is this normal and something I will just adjust to over time? It's not the worst thing in the world but not ideal either
I didn't want to muddy the waters earlier but should also add. I have reflux issues and allegegly "eosinophyllic esophagits". I say allegedly because the gut doctor thinks it may be but was never truly confirmed. Anyway, I have read some other stuff on here how it may be related to aerophagia. Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts?
Anyway sleep was ok last night - haven't looked at oscar but will post later.

Oh nice! I didn't know that! I am going to give the headgear a go then! I like you think the F30 headgear could be better, but the actual mask is the best I have used. Keep me posted on how you like it.

Here's my latest. Is it obnoxious to keep posting these??

I have a question that I think I know the answer to but am going to ask anyway. My sleep quality is way different with vs without CPAP(shocking I know). But in the AM, like this AM, I had some extra time so decided to take mask off and sleep in. Not sure exactly how to describe it, but it definitely felt different, almost like a deeper sleep, better in a strange way. Am I impeding my progress by doing this? I am guessing my body doesn't know what the hell to expect at this point and is just trying adjust to all this oxygen it never had before?

yes - I was only sleep for a little bit but was definitely much different. Like when I woke up it was almost like adrenaline was running through me?? strange days indeed

. Full disclosure I do have anxiety and depression issues so not sure how much related. This is like a giant crazy puzzle I have to figure out lol

That is very weird. I have slept with my mask off after I took it off in my sleep, and that sleep was much worse.
